We've got the real deal. Sex, drugs and rock and roll are the guidelines in this place. But there's also the growing trend of tagging taking place. No matter where you go there's always a graffiti tag defacing someone or something. Four main groups stand above the rest. Scene Junkie, Insolent Montage, Dropkick Dread, and Surging Haze are trying to make themselves #1. So where do you fit in to all of this? Hunters Unite is a brand new Monster Hunter Roleplay Forum. One of the most advanced forums with over 5 different systems so far.
You are a Hunter, though you are an ordinary human, you are in a world full of vast jungles, large volcanoes, and incredibly powerful beasts. You, the hunter must use all your equipment, weapons, and armor to slay these beasts. Raise comrades that are small humanoid cat like creatures, they are always by your side, even against the toughest of beasts
New systems have been added, and will be updated on a regular basis, Such as the Zenny system: Every time you post, or complete a quest, you will be rewarded with a type of currency known as Zenny. If you want to make armor or weapons, you must have a certain amount of Zenny to create that item.
Armor, and weapons stat system allowing you to keep track of your different armor stats, resistances, and skills.

Trading Market:
The trading market is a new area allowing people trade their items, armors, and weapons to other players for their Zenny. You may even host auctions on your equipment, or trade equipment for other equipment

Are auditions of some sort required? - Yes, character profiles must be accepted by admin before RP can commence. Sample RP is needed.
Plot? - Under the rule of King Uther Pendragon, the not so mythical English medieval city of Camelot is thriving. This is not to say that the mixture of sorcery, misguided chivalry, UN-courtly romances and darker motives won’t spread mayhem and adventure throughout the land. Alongside Prince Arthur and Merlin, what part will YOU play?
Is talking allowed? - Yes, talking is preferred.
What kind of fantasy? - Medieval fantasy
Other - This play by post RPG is fairly new, and we are looking for keen enthusiastic members to allow us to fuel the plot onwards! It is also loosely based upon the recent BBC adaption of the Arthurian legends: "Merlin" (More information can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/merlin/ )
However, it is very important to note that this is not a fan-site for the show. Only the basic elements have been encompassed. The land is ruled by King Uther, and his son and heir, Prince Arthur, is the same young age as his friend, and wizard, Merlin. Magic is not forbidden in this RPG! All of the plots and story lines created on this site will not be based on the show (unless of course you want them to be!

What fandom is the RP based off of? When in the fandom does it take place? - Based around the 1800s, industrial revolution time. Steampunk/clockwork theme.
Is there some sort of plot? If so, what is it? - This is the plot:
Earth, as we know it, is burning.
Natural forces have nothing to do with this. No, it is our own greed and lust for power that has driven us to the very brink of destruction.
In the 1800s, corrupt and vile governments from across the world launch their attacks against each other in an attempt to gain control of a specific country or continent, and gain power. Their true goal is, really, taking over the world.
These governments use three key forms of armies. Many, mainly including powerful Asian countries, use strange yet powerful clockwork soldiers and vehicles, powered by large, heavy and expensive cogs and gear, winding around and driving these devastating killing machines.
Another main form of army, used commonly by western countries. These are often normal men wearing suits powered by steam, or, to be precise, the pressure created by a build up of steam. This pressure is released in quick and powerful bursts, often pushing levers or turning cogs. So, in a way, these steam powered machines are clockwork. This form of army does not only reside in steam suits, but also tanks, zeppelins, and water ships.
The last form of army is simple, used only by those countries who have neither the resources nor the money to create and/or buy these powerful yet expensive machines. They rely solely on good ol' fashioned men with guns, making their fight one of the most humanized ones, yet also the most difficult.
Which brings me to the topic of guns. Weaponry, other than that of clockwork and steam, is pretty much the same as that found in the times of world war 1, with simply rifles, simple grenades, the rare machine gun (most likely mounted and not portable) and various other things.
Sadly, this war has had a profound effect on the people of the world. Those who aren't in the army, and were not incredibly rich before the war, have mostly been forced out of their homes, as the armies of the world claim them for their own use, and the people have been taken into refugee camps. Racial discrimination has escalated as those from different parts of the world take out their anger on other nations and blame their people.
In fact, the tension between people of the different nations and their governments has risen so much, that many of the citizens have formed various different terrorist organizations. They strike against their own governments in a hopeless bid to try and stop the war that ravages the world, and those who have been conquered begin guerilla warfare against those who have invaded their land, whilst their armies and government desert them and leave them for dead.
If this war ever ends, and anyone comes out alive, they will surely be scarred, and the world will be changed for ever...
Which characters are allowed? (originals, made-ups, or both) - You can come along and create a completely new and unique character (provided you use the character template), although in the future cannon characters may be introduced.
